Massive Russian Attack Leaves 28 Injured in Zaporizhzhia
On August 30, 2025, a large-scale assault by Russian occupation forces resulted in 28 injuries and one death in Zaporizhzhia, according to Ivan Fedorov, the head of the regional military administration, reports 24brussels.
The attack damaged 40 private homes and over 15 multi-storey residential buildings, leaving nearly 25,000 residents without electricity. Energy workers are currently engaged in restoring power to affected households.
In a coordinated strike today, Russian forces employed 537 Shahed drones and mimic drones, as well as 45 missiles including Kh-59, Iskander-M/KN-23, Kalibr, X-101, and Iskander-K. Following the attack, President Zelensky emphasized the need for energy and banking sanctions against Russia, urging the United States and Europe to take decisive action.
