Russian Strikes Target Kharkiv with Drones and Precision Bombs
On July 12, Russian forces launched a series of attacks on Kharkiv using precision-guided bombs and kamikaze drones. The city was reportedly struck at least ten times by two KAB bombs and eight Shahed drones, resulting in injuries to two individuals, reports 24brussels.
According to Kharkiv Regional Governor Oleg Synegubov and Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the primary impact was on a former industrial site that has been non-operational for several years. The attack ignited several warehouse facilities.
Additionally, one of the drones targeted critical infrastructure. Numerous residential buildings experienced shattered windows, and vehicles as well as elements of the local electrical grid were damaged.
Governor Synegubov confirmed that two men, aged 33 and 55, were injured in the attack and have been hospitalized, receiving necessary medical attention.
Emergency and municipal services are currently on-site addressing the aftermath of the strikes.
Furthermore, several districts in Lviv were also under attack overnight, with explosions reported in Chernivtsi and Lutsk as well.
