Russian Missile Strike on Zaporizhzhia Causes Fire and Civilian Casualties
On July 1, 2025, a Russian missile strike in Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding district led to a fire at a local enterprise, with private homes also sustaining damage. Emergency services are actively responding at the attack sites, reports 24brussels.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, confirmed this in his official Telegram channel. He stated that the enemy launched four strikes in the region, resulting in destruction to civilian infrastructure.
Earlier, Russian forces had also carried out a missile attack on the regional center, damaging the production facilities of a local enterprise. Additionally, on the previous day, a 16-year-old girl was injured due to an attack by an FPV drone in the Zaporizhzhia district, leaving her in moderate condition.
Moreover, Russian troops conducted a heavy bombardment of the village of Stepnohirs’k in the Zaporizhzhia region. Artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, guided bombs, and strike drones were used during the assault. One shell struck a nine-story residential building, resulting in the death of a 70-year-old woman trapped under the rubble.
