Ukrainian Partisan Movement Claims Railway Sabotage in Donetsk Region
On June 28, 2025, participants of the partisan movement “ATESH” reported a sabotage operation carried out on a railway section near Yasynuvata in the Donetsk region. According to their statement, a relay cabinet on a key route to Donetsk, used for supplying Russian forces, was destroyed, reports 24brussels.
As stated by the movement, military units, warehouses, and industrial facilities are located near the site of the incident, making this area significant for the logistics of Russian occupation forces. “ATESH” claimed that due to the sabotage, a fuel train destined for Russian troops arrived at its destination with significant delays, which they noted had “disrupted the enemy’s plans.”
The action was timed to coincide with Ukraine’s Constitution Day. The movement’s statement served as a reminder to the occupying authorities that Donetsk remains a Ukrainian city and that the country continues to be free and independent. The partisans also encouraged residents of the occupied territories to join their movement, stating that participants could engage in various tasks to combat the occupiers and receive rewards for their efforts.
In a related development, it was noted that in the temporarily occupied part of the Zaporizhia region, fighters from the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine eliminated a Russian military train transporting fuel.
