On September 16, 2025, Russian drones targeted an educational facility in the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv. Local authorities reported that four individuals sustained injuries as a result of the strike, occurring while they were outside, reports 24brussels.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS) confirmed that a fire erupted in the building, covering an area of 150 square meters following the drone attack. In a significant development, the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office released footage showing the moment a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle hit the structure.
The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, later clarified that the attack caused damage to the roof and one ceiling of a two-story administrative building. He stated, “There are no casualties in the building itself. A search and rescue operation is still underway. Four people who were outside at the moment of the strike were injured: three women aged 51, 52, and 54, and an 89-year-old man. All are in stable condition.”
Synegubov emphasized that the targeted building was unrelated to military or defense industries, categorizing it strictly as a civilian structure located in a central part of the city.
