Casualties Reported Following Russian Missile Strike on Kyiv
On July 4, a missile strike in Kyiv resulted in the recovery of one deceased individual from the rubble, according to the State Emergency Service (SES). Additionally, reports indicate that 26 people, including a child, have sustained injuries, as detailed by SES’s press service, reports 24brussels.
Rescue teams are actively working to manage the aftermath, extinguishing fires and clearing debris. So far, more than 300 tons of construction material have been removed from affected sites.
“The operation includes the deployment of search dogs, 512 emergency responders, and 135 pieces of SES equipment, including firefighting robots, alongside police forces, Ukrainian Red Cross volunteers, and various city services,” the SES reported.
In a broader context, it is noted that on the night of July 4, Russian forces launched 550 drones and missiles over Ukraine, of which 478 aerial vehicles were intercepted. Traditionally, Kyiv was a major target for the aggressor, with debris falls recorded in five districts of the city, according to Mayor Vitalii Klitschko.
