Russian Missile Strike in Dnipro Claims 16 Lives

On June 24, 2025, a Russian missile strike on Dnipro resulted in at least 16 fatalities and over 100 injuries, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported during a speech in the Dutch Parliament, reports 24brussels.

Zelensky emphasized that the attack caused extensive damage to numerous residential buildings, and schools were also hit. There was a direct impact on a passenger train traveling through the area.

Additionally, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, stated in a Telegram message that the death toll had risen to 16, noting, “174 people were injured. About a hundred of them remain in hospitals. Medical staff are providing all necessary assistance.”

The missile strikes were reported at 11:00 AM, targeting both Dnipro and Samara, with four missiles hitting Dnipro. According to “Ukrzaliznytsia,” there were no fatalities among passengers or crew, although some sustained injuries.
