Russian Forces Launch Missile Strikes on Cherkasy, Increasing Casualties

On Thursday, July 24, 2025, Russian forces launched four Iskander-K missiles at Cherkasy, targeting residential areas. As a result of the missile attack, the number of injured individuals rose to 12, with residents sustaining fractures and lacerations, as reported by the head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration, Ihor Taburets, on his Telegram channel.

All necessary services are currently operating on-site. In the city, windows have been shattered and roofs damaged in 15 multi-story residential buildings.

Earlier today, Russia also conducted a mass drone attack using Shahed drones on Odessa. Fires broke out in the area of the “Privoz” market, and a nine-story building was destroyed, with architectural landmarks in the historical center of the city damaged. Four residents of Odessa sustained injuries. Russian forces also attacked one of the thermal power plants.

The recent strikes underscore the ongoing violence in Ukraine as Russian military operations continue to impact civilian infrastructure and cause casualties among the population.
