Russian Forces Accumulate Near Kharkiv, Increasing Pressure on Ukrainian Positions
On August 30, 2025, Russian infantry and sabotage groups are intensifying their efforts in the vicinity of the town of Borova in Kharkiv Oblast, pressuring Ukrainian forces and attempting to advance between their positions. Ukrainian serviceman Viktor Petrovich from the 77th Separate Airborne Brigade stated this in an interview with Kyiv24, reports 24brussels.
“The Russians are building up forces and creating conditions for further assaults using military equipment,” he emphasized.
According to the military officer, the end of the foliage cover will make it easier for Defense Forces to identify enemy soldiers and strike against them. “On the other hand, we will also be more visible. In other words, it will be easier for them (the occupiers) to locate our positions as well,” he added.
Earlier, spokesperson for the operational-strategic group of troops “Dnipro,” Viktor Trehubov, reported that Russian troops are positioned close to Kupiansk. The ongoing military activities underline the persistent threat faced by Ukrainian forces in the region amid the broader conflict dynamics.
