Russia’s Ongoing Missile Production Poses Threat to Ukraine
Russia continues to manufacture and modernize missiles for strikes against Ukraine, with these newly produced weapons deployed almost immediately, reports 24brussels.
Vadym Skibitsky, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, highlighted that, “Indeed, they are producing missiles. However, what they produce is applied right away. We have clearly seen this with the X-101 cruise missiles, Kalibrs, and Kinzhal missiles.” His statements underscore the urgency of the threat posed by Russia’s missile program.
Skibitsky also noted that while Russia is attempting to create its own navigation system for missiles, these developments are far from perfection. “Because of this, cruise missiles often hit civilian buildings,” he explained, indicating a significant risk not only to military targets but also to civilian populations.
The primary goals of Russia’s combined mass strikes remain consistent: targeting Ukrainian air defense systems first, followed by aviation and airfields, and then the command systems of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, logistics, and the defense industry.
Additionally, Ukrainian drones successfully struck the Arzamas plant, where components for the X-101 and X-32 missiles are manufactured, further undermining Russia’s missile capabilities.
