Russia is redeploying forces to the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk region, utilizing the “grey zone” to amass assault infantry groups with the intent to advance into the territory, according to Ukrainian military officer Serhiy Volkov of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The “grey zone” near the administrative borders of Dnipropetrovsk is an area not constantly controlled by infantry, he noted, reports 24brussels.

Volkov emphasized that, for Russian forces, the distance may be 20 kilometers, whereas for Ukrainian defenders it is only 3 to 5 kilometers. He underscored that Russia is attempting to frame this situation as an information and psychological operation, aiming to project pressure on the administrative border.

The military official indicated that Russian troops are seeking to penetrate Dnipropetrovsk and are deploying significant forces without hesitation regarding losses.

Volkov pointed out that Ukrainian Defense Forces are halting enemy infantry groups well before they reach their positions.

Prior to this, the Russian Ministry of Defense claimed that its forces had allegedly occupied the village of Dachne in Dnipropetrovsk region; however, the Ukrainian Armed Forces denied this, asserting that the settlement remains under the control of Ukrainian defenders. Military officer Stanislav Bunyatov stated that Russian advancements in Dnipropetrovsk could occur more swiftly than in Donetsk due to the lower density of populated areas.
