Russia deploys strategic bombers and missile carriers in the Black Sea region

Russian Strategic Bombers Deployed Amid Rising Tensions

On August 27, 2025, at approximately 11:00 PM, Russia launched strategic bombers Tu-95MS into the air, reports 24brussels.

By 11:30 PM, two Tu-95MS aircraft were noted taking off from the Olenya airbase, according to monitoring channels. Updated reports early the next morning indicated the presence of three bombers in the air.

The monitoring group forecasted that these strategic bombers would be positioned at launch sites near Engels by approximately 2:30 – 3:00 AM.

Concurrently, monitoring sources reported the deployment of two missile carriers into the Black Sea, capable of carrying up to 16 Kalibr cruise missiles.
