Russia Sends Cultural Workers to Occupied Donetsk for Propaganda Efforts

On October 11, 2025, six so-called “cultural workers” from Russia are set to arrive in the occupied Donetsk region, aiming to “develop culture” in the war-torn cities, reports 24brussels.

The National Resistance Center (CNC) indicates that the occupying authorities in the self-proclaimed “DNR” have concluded their program titled “Zemsky Cultural Worker.” As a result, specialists from the Tomsk, Saratov regions, and Krasnodar territory will be deployed, each promised two million rubles.

According to the CNC, the conditions for residents in the occupied territories are dire, as they struggle to survive without basic necessities like water and heating. Despite this, Russia continues to fund its propaganda initiatives, extending them to the occupied territories.

Experts from the CNC emphasize that under the guise of “cultural initiatives,” Russia is attempting to impose its narratives on the local population, particularly the youth, while aiming to marginalize Ukrainian identity.

Earlier, the National Resistance Center reported that the occupying authorities are actively cultivating collaborators among the local youth. Notably, six so-called “social projects” in the occupied Kherson region received Kremlin grants of nearly two million rubles, effectively financing the spread of “Russkiy Mir” propaganda and nurturing supporters of the occupying policies.
