Russian Forces Shell Stepnogorsk, Causing Casualties
On Sunday morning, June 29, 2025, Russian military forces launched a massive artillery and multiple rocket launcher attack on the village of Stepnogorsk in the Zaporizhia region, employing guided aerial bombs and strike drones. Shells struck a residential building, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhia regional military administration, in his Telegram channel.
As a result of the Russian bombardment, a 70-year-old local resident was killed. Her body was discovered under the debris of the nine-story building.
Additionally, Russian forces reportedly conducted a missile strike on the regional center, damaging a manufacturing facility. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported. The day prior, a 16-year-old girl sustained injuries from an FPV drone attack in the Zaporizhia district and is currently in moderate condition, reports 24brussels.
