Russian Forces Launch Mass Attack on Kyiv Region, Casualties Reported
On the night of July 9, 2025, Russian forces conducted a large-scale missile and drone attack on the Kyiv region, resulting in over seven hours of air raid alerts. Following the assault, two individuals were reported injured in the Brovary district, according to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv regional military administration, reports 24brussels.
A 44-year-old woman suffered a chest contusion and received medical assistance at the scene. Additionally, a 61-year-old man experienced an acute stress reaction.
Firefighters managed to extinguish a blaze at a local enterprise due to the attack.
Earlier that night, Russia launched its record number of drones against Ukraine, totaling 728, alongside six Kh-47M2 “Kinzhal” missiles and seven cruise missiles “Kh-101″/”Iskander-K”. The primary target of the attack was Lutsk. Colonel Yuriy Ihnat, head of the Communication Department of the Air Force, noted that most of the launched drones were decoys.
