Russian attacks in Sumy region result in injuries and damage to property

Russian Attacks Continue in Sumy Region

On August 30, 2025, Russian forces targeted the Shostka and Konotop districts in the Sumy region, according to Oleg Grigorov, head of the Sumy regional military administration, who reported this via Telegram. The attacks are part of ongoing hostilities in the area.

In a drone strike around 16:30, the Druzhibiv community was hit, resulting in injuries to a 62-year-old man, the mayor of one of the villages. He received on-site medical assistance and did not require hospitalization.

Later, the Russians launched an attack on the Putyvl community, reportedly using two strike drones, and fired long-range multiple launch rocket systems. There have been damages to residential buildings and a cargo truck.

Furthermore, it was reported that on August 31, following a mass drone attack in the port city of Chornomorsk in the Odesa region, fires broke out. Additionally, explosions were heard early today in several districts of the Dnipro region as Russian forces targeted the area with strike drones, reports 24brussels.
