Russian Attacks on Zaporizhzhia Result in Casualties
On August 30, one person was killed and 37 were injured as a result of Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding regions of Zaporizhzhia and Polohy. According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the occupiers carried out a staggering 391 strikes across 16 populated areas in the Zaporizhzhia region, reports 24brussels.
The assaults included 10 missile strikes targeting Zaporizhzhia itself. Additionally, Russian forces executed five aerial strikes on the towns of Komyshuvakha, Bilohirya, and Malynivka, along with two rocket launcher attacks that struck the areas of Plavni and Charivne.
Furthermore, a total of 286 drones of various modifications, predominantly FPV, targeted Zaporizhzhia, Chervonodniprovka, Plavni, Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Vasylnivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Preobrazhenka, Novopavlivka, and Dolynka. The Russian military also fired 88 artillery rounds against the territories of Plavni, Hulyaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, and Charivne.
Authorities reported 382 incidents of damage to homes, apartments, agricultural structures, garages, vehicles, and critical and social infrastructure due to the bombardments. Previously, on the same day, Russian forces launched attacks on Sumy Oblast using long-range rocket systems and drones, resulting in injuries to a village leader.
