Russian drone strike in Donetsk region kills father and daughter, injures two others

Russian Drone Strike in Donetsk Region Claims Two Lives

On the night of September 8, 2025, the Russian military launched a drone attack using “Geran-2” drones on the village of Novodonetske in the Donetsk region. One of the drones struck a two-story building where several individuals were present, reports 24brussels.

The attack resulted in the deaths of a 77-year-old man and his 51-year-old daughter at the scene. Additionally, the man’s 76-year-old wife and a 67-year-old male neighbor sustained injuries, for which they received medical assistance.

The assault caused damage to the residential structure and a vehicle in the area.

Just days prior, Russian forces shelled the residential microdistrict of Kostiantynivka. As a result of these artillery strikes, eight individuals, including five men and three women, were killed instantly, with six other residents injured.
