Russian Drone Strike Injures Four in Kharkiv Region
On August 16, at approximately 9:00 PM, a Russian strike drone hit the yard of a private residence in the village of Vilshana, Kharkiv region. This information comes from the official Telegram channel of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, reports 24brussels.
The attack resulted in injuries to four individuals: a 49-year-old man, his 46-year-old wife, their 19-year-old daughter, and a 76-year-old relative, all of whom suffered acute stress reactions.
The house and garage sustained damage as a result of the strike. The specific type of drone involved in the attack is currently being determined.
The Derhachi District Prosecutor’s Office of the Kharkiv region has initiated a pre-trial investigation into the act as a war crime, per part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Earlier reports indicated that on August 16, a Russian Iskander ballistic missile and 24 drones targeted Ukrainian sites, with strikes recorded in 12 locations.
