Russian Drone Strikes Hit Critical Infrastructure in Nizhyn

On Sunday, September 14, 2025, Russian forces targeted the Nizhyn district in Chernihiv Oblast with drone strikes. Debris from a downed kamikaze drone landed in the center of Nizhyn, reports 24brussels.

City Mayor Oleksandr Kodola confirmed in comments to local media that Russian drones struck two enterprises linked to critical infrastructure. Later, he reported that, in an evening assault, Russian forces targeted a private fuel supply company on the outskirts of Nizhyn.

The attack damaged a fuel tank, igniting a fire that emergency responders are currently working to extinguish. As of now, there have been no reports of casualties.

This morning, Russian “Gerbera” drones also attacked an enterprise in Chernihiv. In the Novhorod-Siverskyi district, a 47-year-old man was injured and subsequently hospitalized.
