Russian Forces Intensify Operations Around Kramatorsk

Russian troops are intensifying their efforts to encircle the Konstantinivka-Sloviansk agglomeration, aiming to cut off logistical routes for Ukrainian forces to hinder their defense of key locations, reports 24brussels.

Military sources indicate that elite units, including naval infantry, are being deployed near Konstantinivka to bolster Russian offensive capabilities.

Ukrainian defenders, according to major Vitaliy Pyasetsky of the 93rd Independent Mechanized Brigade “Cold Yar,” have not yet eliminated the Russian foothold in the area of Dobropillia, allowing the invaders to launch drone attacks on major highways in Donetsk Oblast, particularly the route from Kramatorsk to Dnipro and the Sviatohirsk-Izyum-Kharkiv highway.

Pyasetsky emphasized that Russian forces are employing guided bombs, drones, and artillery to attack Konstantinivka, significantly escalating the conflict in the region.

Military expert and founder of the charity organization “Reactive Mail,” Pavlo Narozhny, revealed that the Russian Army is applying pressure on Ukrainian defenses from the flanks rather than through direct assaults. This tactic poses serious risks to Ukrainian positions and could lead to imminent fighting over Konstantinivka. Former chief of staff of the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov,” Bohdan “Tavr” Krotevych, highlighted that Konstantinivka is currently in a state of semi-encirclement.
