Intensified Fighting Near Siversk as Russian Forces Seek to Gain Ground
On August 30, 2025, Russian occupation troops have escalated combat operations in the Siversk area of the Donetsk region, particularly from the direction of the Serebryansk Forestry. Russian forces aim to solidify their presence around the city, according to statements from Dmytro Zaporozhets, spokesperson for the 11th Army Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reports 24brussels.
Zaporozeht noted that the Russian army is targeting Ukrainian military logistics routes with FPV drones, complicating defense efforts in the village of Serebryanka. He indicated that Russian forces have also increased artillery shelling, striking not only the front lines but also deeper territory to disrupt logistical support.
Currently, Ukrainian military officials have not recorded any crossings by Russian forces over the Siversky Donets River in this area.
