Russian Forces Attack Ochakiv with Drones and Artillery
In a nighttime assault on September 28, 2025, the Russian military launched over ten Shahed kamikaze drones at the city of Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region. The attack damaged recreational infrastructure, igniting fires in vacation facilities across an area exceeding 2,000 square meters. Eight firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, reports 24brussels.
Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Head Vitaliy Kim noted that Russian troops used FPV drones to target Ochakiv and its surrounding community the day before. As a result, an 18-year-old male and a 47-year-old female sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital in moderate condition.
Additionally, Russian forces shelled the Halytsynivka and Kutsurub communities using artillery and rocket systems.
Days prior, Russian occupiers had also attacked infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region, causing power outages in several railway sections.
