Russian Forces Launch Drone Attack on Poltava

On the morning of July 3, 2025, Russian occupying troops launched a large-scale drone attack on Poltava. All relevant emergency services have been mobilized to address the aftermath, according to Kateryna Yamshchikova, the secretary of the Poltava City Council, in her Telegram channel.

She urged residents to refrain from posting videos, photos, or information regarding the impact locations. Operational headquarters are being established within the Poltava community, and public transportation in the regional center has been temporarily impeded.

Vladimir Kohut, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, reported that civilian infrastructure in the area has been damaged. Initial reports indicate that two individuals have died and eleven others have sustained injuries.

Just a few days prior, Russian forces targeted Poltava with missiles and drones. Consequently, the main railway station, Poltava-South, along with the suburban station, a business, and a residential building suffered damage. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries during that attack.

As investigations and recovery efforts continue, authorities emphasize the importance of accurate information and public safety. Any updates on the situation will be closely monitored and communicated.
