Deadly Russian Strikes Hit Lviv Region
On October 5, 2025, a series of coordinated strikes by Russian occupation forces on the city of Lviv and its surrounding areas resulted in the deaths of five individuals, including a 46-year-old man who succumbed to injuries in the hospital the day before. Among the casualties are four family members who were killed when a missile struck their private home in the village of Lapaivka, near the regional center. This tragedy also claimed the life of a 15-year-old girl, reports 24brussels.
A week earlier, Russia launched an extensive assault on Lviv and nearby districts, firing 12 rockets and deploying 78 kamikaze drones. The attacks damaged both residential high-rises and private homes, alongside affecting critical infrastructure, including gas transport systems.
The strikes also ignited a large fire in the Sparrow industrial park area, resulting in injuries to seven individuals. Authorities are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage and provide assistance to those affected.
This latest wave of violence underscores the ongoing risks faced by civilians in Ukraine as the conflict drags on, highlighting the imperative for sustained international support and vigilance.
