Russian Forces Breach Dnipropetrovsk Village, Sustaining Heavy Losses
On August 30, 2025, Russian occupation forces advanced into the village of Novoselivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, near the administrative border with Donetsk Oblast. Ukrainian military units engaged the Russian troops in the area and managed to eliminate the majority of the invading soldiers, reports 24brussels.
In the preceding days, Ukrainian Defense Forces had stabilized their defensive positions in Novoselivka. Nevertheless, the Russian military continues attempts to gain control of the village through nearby ravines.
Analysts recorded at least four Russian soldiers in Novoselivka just days prior, while Ukrainian defenders displayed images of their comrade standing beside destroyed buildings that served as hiding places for Russian occupiers.
Several days ago, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine dismissed reports of Russian soldiers capturing two villages in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Fighting persists in Novohrihorivka and Zaporizhzhia.
