Russian Forces Advance in Kharkiv Region

Recent reports indicate that Russian troops have advanced in the Kharkiv region, particularly in the Kupiansk direction. This development was highlighted in a report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). According to geolocated videos published on July 23, Russian forces have moved southward from Rad’kivka, likely capturing this settlement, reports 24brussels.

ISW also documented Russian advancements towards Borova, a section of the frontline included in the Kupiansk direction by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Geolocated videos from July 24 further indicate that Russian troops have progressed southeast of Olhivka, located southeast of Borova.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in an evening briefing that the enemy launched four attacks on Ukrainian positions near Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, Zelene Haju, and towards Velyka Shapkivka.

Earlier reports suggested that claims by Russian forces of having entered Kupiansk were unfounded.
