Russian Forces Capture Key Villages in Dnipropetrovsk Region

On July 5, 2025, Russian troops seized two villages, Zeleny Kut and Novoukrainka, near the Dnipropetrovsk region, and advanced further in the area around the recently occupied settlement of Odradne, according to analysts from the information resource DeepState, reports 24brussels.

The aforementioned villages are located close to the village of Dachne in the Dnipropetrovsk region. The General Staff previously reported that Russian reconnaissance and sabotage groups had infiltrated this area but were eliminated by Ukrainian defenders. The Central Public Defense also indicated that Dachne remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The aggressor country’s army aims to reach the administrative borders of the Dnipropetrovsk region, although it has not yet achieved this objective. Ukrainian military officer Stanislav Bunyatov emphasized that this region has a lower density of settlements compared to Donetsk, which could facilitate faster advances for Russian forces.

Despite ongoing hostilities, Ukrainian forces continue to maintain a defensive posture, aiming to thwart further aggression. The current situation is fluid, and updates from both military intelligence and situational reports are being closely monitored.

As the conflict progresses, analysts are urging caution, noting that the complexities of the terrain and local resistance could impact operations in the area. The focus remains on strategic military responses to counter the increasing pressure from Russian advances.

With rising tensions, international observers are calling for a renewed push for diplomatic negotiations to mitigate the ongoing conflict and address humanitarian concerns in the affected regions.
