Airstrike in Sumy Region Claims Two Lives

On July 12, 2025, around 1:00 PM, two residents of a village in the Velikochernechchyna community were killed by a guided airstrike in the Sumy region, according to Oleg Grygorov, the head of the Sumy regional military administration, via Telegram.

The State Emergency Service reported that two houses were set ablaze in the area, with two additional homes sustaining damage. In the Krasnopillia community, another fire ignited in residential sectors due to the strikes.

Due to the threat of further attacks, rescuers were temporarily forced to suspend their operations and seek shelter. However, despite the risks, emergency personnel successfully extinguished all fire sources and prevented further spread of the flames.

Later that night, around 10:00 PM, the regional military administration disclosed that the enemy launched a massive drone strike targeting civilian infrastructure in the Shostka community. Initial reports indicate that non-residential structures caught fire, with consequences still being assessed.

Earlier that morning, the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region was once again subjected to shelling by Russian forces, resulting in casualties and injuries.
