Russian Drone Attack in Sumy Region Claims Lives

In the early hours of June 24, around midnight, a mass drone attack carried out by Russian forces targeted a village in the VSecretary Sumy region, resulting in the deaths of at least three individuals. The information was reported by the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Oleg Grygorov, via Telegram.

Among the deceased is an eight-year-old boy, whose body was recovered from the rubble of a destroyed house. Additionally, a man and a woman lost their lives in this tragic incident.

Three other individuals were pulled from the debris alive, with one reported to be in critical condition. All have been hospitalized for urgent care.

Numerous homes have been damaged or destroyed as a result of the attacks, igniting fires in the area. Emergency services and medical professionals are on-site, providing necessary assistance to those affected.

Earlier reports indicated that on the same day, June 24, there was also a drone attack on Kharkiv, which resulted in multiple strikes on a civilian enterprise in the city.

Such incidents underscore the ongoing peril facing civilians in conflict zones as military actions continue to escalate, reports 24brussels.
