Russian Attack on Ukraine Involves Drones and Missiles

On July 28, 2025, the Russian military launched an assault on Ukraine, deploying three Kh-47M2 Kinzhal ballistic missiles, four Kh-101 cruise missiles, and 324 Shahed drones and imitators from six different directions, reports 24brussels.

The primary strike targeted the city of Starokostiantyniv in Khmelnytskyi Oblast.

Thanks to the effective actions of the air force, electronic warfare units, anti-aircraft missile troops, and mobile fire groups, two Kh-101 missiles and 309 kamikaze drones were destroyed.

The Ukrainian Air Forces emphasized that the “Kinzhal” missiles did not reach their targets. In three locations, two missiles and 15 Shahed drones crashed, with debris from downed drones falling in several other areas.

As a result of the mass drone attack on Kyiv, eight people were injured in the Darnytskyi district, and an apartment building sustained damage.
