Russian Forces Occupy Multiple Settlements in Donetsk Region
On June 27, Russian military forces occupied three settlements in the Donetsk region, specifically in the Novopavlivka direction, near the administrative borders with Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions, reports 24brussels.
Observers indicate that the Russian troops have seized Novosilka, Zaporizhia, and Odradne, while also advancing near Yalta and Veseloye.
DeepState, a Ukrainian information resource, stated that the defense in this section of the front is rapidly deteriorating. Recent reports suggest this trend is worsening.
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported in its latest update that Russian bloggers claim that Russian forces have also made progress north of Komar, north of Shevchenko, west of Velyke Pole, and south of Novopol. However, ISW has not confirmed these claims.
Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its evening update that Ukrainian forces halted ten Russian attacks in the Novopavlivka direction during the previous day near the settlements of Shevchenko, Fedorivka, and in the direction of Zaporizhia, Myrne, Perebudova, Yalta, and Komar. Six more skirmishes were still ongoing as of 10 PM on June 27.
Earlier reports indicated that Russian forces had also advanced in the areas surrounding several settlements in Zaporizhia oblast.
