Russian Forces Strike Bus in Sumy Region

On July 27, 2025, Russian military forces attacked a bus in the Yunakivka community of Sumy region, resulting in reported injuries among passengers, according to Oleg Grigorov, the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, in his Telegram channel. Reports indicate that emergency services are currently operating at the site of the attack.

This incident marks yet another instance of Russian forces targeting buses in the Sumy region. In May, for example, occupiers struck a passenger bus near Bilopillia with a drone, leading to the deaths of nine passengers and injuries to seven others.

Additionally, Russian forces have conducted a second attack on critical infrastructure in the region within two days, leaving parts of the Sumy community without electricity. The residential sector in the Kovpakivskyi district of Sumy was also targeted, resulting in damage to high-rise buildings and non-residential structures.

The ongoing attacks illustrate the relentless assault on civilian infrastructure by Russian forces, which continues to raise concerns over the safety of residents in conflict-affected areas, reports 24brussels.
