Russian Forces Target Odesa Region with Drone Strikes

In the early hours of July 2, Russian military forces launched an attack on the Odesa region utilizing Shahed-type kamikaze drones. The Vilkivska territorial community in the Izmail district was among the primary targets. Air defense forces succeeded in intercepting some of the drones; however, several strikes impacted the area, causing damage to port and tourist infrastructure, reports 24brussels.

According to initial reports from the Izmail District State Administration, there were no casualties resulting from the attack.

This follows a previous incident where Russian drones hit a 21-story residential building in Odesa, resulting in a fire and multiple injuries among the residents, including a couple who lost their lives due to the strike. Over a dozen individuals were injured during that attack.

Additionally, an earlier assault on Zaporizhzhia and the Zaporizhzhia district resulted in a fire at a local enterprise, along with damage to private houses. Fortunately, there were no fatalities reported in that incident either.
