Explosions Reported in Kharkiv During Early Hours
On July 6, 2025, at approximately 1:00 AM, explosions were reported in Kharkiv. The city mayor, Igor Terekhov, communicated the news via Telegram.
“Preliminary information suggests the use of a ‘shahid’ drone. We are currently clarifying details. Several enemy drones are heading towards the city – please stay vigilant!” he stated.
Air raid alerts were issued in Kharkiv just minutes before the first explosion at 12:58 AM.
By 1:14 AM, Terekhov had confirmed three explosions within the city.
At 1:16 AM, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported a new group of strike drones approaching from the north towards southern Kharkiv.
By 1:22 AM, Oleksandr Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, indicated that drone strikes had been recorded in the Shevchenkivskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv.
Local reports suggest fire has broken out at one of the strike locations.
