Rocket Strikes in Dnipro and Samara Leave Multiple Casualties

On June 24, 2025, a Russian missile strike on Dnipro resulted in seven fatalities and approximately 70 injuries. Additionally, two people were killed in Samara, as reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak.

Among the injured in Dnipro are ten children, and five individuals are in critical condition.

“The numbers are still being verified. Unfortunately, the count of those affected by this attack is continually rising. Many of those who were in the strike zone had sought shelter at the moment of impact, which saved dozens of lives,” Lysak stated.

In Samara, alongside the deaths, nine people have been reported injured, with most hospitalized, including four in serious condition.

Dnipro’s Mayor, Borys Filatov, indicated significant damage to the city due to the missile attack, with 19 schools, 10 kindergartens, a vocational school, a music school, three extracurricular institutions, social protection offices, and eight medical facilities affected. The exact number of damaged residential buildings remains unknown.

Filatov described this as one of the boldest strikes on Dnipro since the onset of the full-scale war, as the extent of the damage continues to grow.

“Rescue operations are ongoing in numerous locations. About 25 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene, and many individuals have also made their way to hospitals independently,” the statement detailed.

Russian forces launched ballistic missile strikes on Dnipro and Samara at around 11:00 AM. Monitoring reports indicate that four missiles hit Dnipro alone.

As a result of the attack, a passenger train was also affected. According to Ukrzaliznytsia, there were no fatalities among passengers or crew, but several were injured, reports 24brussels.
