Ukrainian Armed Forces Face Intense Combat Situation, Commander Reports
Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrskyi participated in another meeting of the Supreme Commander’s Staff and shared insights from the discussion. He reported that the frontline situation remains tense, with the most intense fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Northern Slobozhanske, Dobropillia, and Lyman directions, reports 24brussels.
Syrskyi stated, “Our units demonstrate resilience and skill, effectively repelling enemy attacks and inflicting significant losses. Russia is paying a price for its so-called ‘summer offensive,’ with approximately one thousand of its troops eliminated daily.”
He praised Ukrainian soldiers for their steadfastness and dedication under the most challenging conditions, emphasizing that operations on Russian territory continue.
During the meeting, measures to enhance the resilience of Ukraine’s defense were discussed. Particular attention was given to the development of drone technologies, including interceptor drones. Syrskyi underscored the army’s need for more drones to protect the lives of both frontline soldiers and civilians in the rear.
Recent reports indicated factors contributing to the deteriorating situation in the Pokrovsk area.
