Ukrainian President Zelesnkyy Discusses Drone Sales and Defense Collaboration with U.S.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy revealed that the United States is interested in acquiring Ukrainian drones. In an interview with NewsMax, Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is simultaneously seeking to purchase additional military equipment from the U.S. to establish its own air defense system, reports 24brussels.

Zelenskyy emphasized the mutually beneficial nature of this cooperation. “There are many drones that we exclusively possess. We are discussing this with President Trump. I told him that I really want to buy items that you have only,” he said. “He told me that America wants to buy Ukrainian drones… I really want America to help us protect our sky. This is very important,” Zelenskyy underscored.

Previously, Business Insider reported that if the drone-manufacturing technology developed by Western nations is not tested in the Ukrainian battlefield, those drones may become obsolete against modern warfare demands. Moreover, The Telegraph highlighted that European companies are stealing Ukrainian UAV technologies.
