Brussels supports Ukraine’s deeper integration into the EU defense sector. In 2025, the European Commission presented the White Paper on European Defense – Readiness 2030, which states:
- Ukraine has accumulated unique combat experience that can be useful for NATO and the EU.
- Kyiv may become part of the European Defense Technology and Industrial Base (EDTIB).
- Joint production of military equipment with EU countries is planned.
These steps will allow Ukraine to obtain modern defense technologies and become part of the European security system.
