As disinformation efforts escalate, aiming to fracture alliances and undermine Ukraine’s role on the global stage, Kyiv has responded with unmistakable clarity: Ukraine will not be reduced to a passive observer. It is, and will remain, a full-fledged participant in any path toward peace.
Recent narratives suggesting Ukraine’s exclusion from diplomatic talks are not grounded in reality. They are part of a calculated campaign to sow distrust among Ukrainians and question the reliability of Western partners. But the facts speak louder: on April 17, high-level talks in Paris included Ukraine alongside the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom — a powerful sign of Ukraine’s indispensable role.
President Volodymyr Zelensky used the moment to restate a firm position — peace is only possible if the international community increases its pressure on Russia. The message was sharp: the aggressor cannot shape the outcome of this war.
Far from being sidelined, Ukraine has been the driving force behind serious diplomatic initiatives since the first days of the invasion. Its Peace Formula, rooted in justice, accountability, and the restoration of territorial integrity, has become the blueprint for international discussions — from the UN to the G7 and beyond.
The idea of negotiating Ukraine’s future without Ukraine is not only politically unacceptable, but also a direct violation of international law. Sovereignty is non-negotiable — a principle enshrined in the UN Charter and fundamental to global security.
Despite Kremlin attempts to spin a narrative of “Western fatigue,” support for Ukraine remains steadfast. This is not charity — it is a strategic defense of European and global stability. The Paris summit reaffirmed that a ceasefire must be just the beginning of a broader peace, one defined by Ukraine’s terms and rooted in respect, not compromise.
Ukraine is not on the sidelines. It’s at the heart of the conversation — where it belongs.
