Ukrainian Drones Strike Oil Refinery in Russia’s Ufa
On the night of October 11, 2025, Ukrainian Security Service (SBU) drones targeted the “Bashneft-UNPZ” oil refinery located in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, approximately 1,400 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, reports 24brussels.
The attack resulted in a fire and a significant plume of smoke observed at the facility. Preliminary reports indicate that the flames erupted near the ELOU-AVT-6 crude oil processing unit.
This incident marks the third drone assault on Bashkortostan in just one month. Earlier, on September 18, SBU drones struck the ELOU-AVT-4 unit at the Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat chemical complex, which was followed by a subsequent strike on the same facility. On September 24, the ELOU-AVT-6 primary oil processing unit also came under attack.
These actions reflect Ukraine’s ongoing military operations against key Russian energy infrastructure as the conflict continues to evolve. The use of long-range drones underscores Ukraine’s capability to extend its operational reach and disrupt Russia’s energy sector.
