Ukrainian drones struck an oil refinery and fuel depots in two Russian regions and a logistics center in occupied Donetsk. According to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, one of the primary targets was the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Products Plant in Rostov Region, a major supplier of fuel in southern Russia that supports the occupying forces. Strikes were also confirmed near a fuel and lubricant base of the Russian military in Voronezh Region.

Additionally, last night, Special Operations Forces of Ukraine targeted a drone and a logistics hub in temporarily occupied Donetsk. Destructive impacts and multiple explosions in the vicinity of the site have been confirmed.

Throughout August, Ukrainian drones have hit oil refineries in several regions of Russia. These operations have resulted in a loss of over 13% of the occupying country’s oil refining capacity. At least four major plants have ceased operations due to the attacks, cumulatively reducing annual oil processing volumes by 44.3 million tons, as reported by The Moscow Times.
