Ukrainian Forces Advance on Multiple Fronts
Ukrainian troops have recently achieved significant progress on three fronts, as reported by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW). The Ukrainian Armed Forces saw success in the Kharkiv region along the Kupiansk direction, with geolocated video evidence indicating that they advanced west of the village of Rad’kivka, north of Kupiansk, reports 24brussels.
In addition, Russian sources reported that the Ukrainian forces launched counterattacks directly within Kupiansk itself. The extent of these actions suggests a strategic initiative from the Ukrainian military in a region of ongoing conflict.
ISW analysts also observed Ukrainian advancements in the Donetsk region, specifically along the Sloviansk front. Geolocated videos released on October 12 indicate that Ukrainian forces have recently moved east of Pereizne, south of Siversk, suggesting a coordinated effort to expand their operational territory.
Moreover, Ukrainian troops made further gains in the Zaporizhzhia region, having liberated the village of Mali Shcherbaky, located in the southwest of Orekhiv. Geolocation footage published on October 12 shows units of the Ukrainian battalion raising flags in the area, symbolizing the reclaiming of territory.
Earlier reports indicated that the liberation of Mali Shcherbaky was carried out by units of the 24th Separate Assault Battalion ‘Aidar’ alongside forces from the 33rd Separate Assault Regiment. This evolving situation underscores the ongoing volatility in the region and reflects Ukraine’s commitment to reclaiming lost territories amidst the wider conflict.
