Ukrainian Troops Advance in Donetsk Region Amid Ongoing Clashes

On June 26, 2025, Ukrainian forces made recent advancements north of Perebudova in the Donetsk region, as reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), which cited geolocation videos published that day.

Russian military bloggers claimed that Russian troops had advanced northeast of Perebudova, encompassing areas north of Novoserhiyivka, northeast of Novomykolaivka, southwest of Horikhove, north of Yalta, and southwest of Fedorivka. ISW has not confirmed this information.

Regarding the Russian Ministry of Defense’s statement on June 26 claiming that Russian forces captured Novoserhiyivka, researchers noted that their data indicated Russian troops took control of Novoserhiyivka on June 24.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported that Ukrainian units halted 13 enemy attacks along the Novopavlivka direction, particularly near the settlements of Zirka, Yalta, Zaporizhzhia, Bahatyr, Fedorivka, Komar, Odradne, and towards Voskresenka, in their evening update.

Previously, it was reported that Russian forces had significantly advanced in the area of the frontline near Shevchenko — Vylne Pole — Novosilka.

This ongoing conflict underscores the tense situation in the region, which remains a focal point of military activities as both sides strive to consolidate their positions.
