Ukrainian Forces Target Russian Logistics Amid Intensified Attacks

Ukrainian military officials reported that an elite Russian drone unit, known as “Rubicon,” has deployed to the Pokrovsk direction, aiming to disrupt Russian logistics in the area. Senior communication officer of the 59th Brigade “Steppe Predators,” Taras Myshak, provided this update during a broadcast on “Kyiv 24,” reports 24brussels.

Myshak noted that operators of the “Rubicon” unit focus less on frontline operations and more on infiltrating the rear of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) to undermine supply chains. This strategic shift necessitates careful planning and preparation, transforming previously routine logistics into a more complex endeavor.

“Currently, this is effectively a special operation. Careful planning is essential; operators must scrutinize the skies, utilize electronic warfare systems, and employ various drone detection methods while moving discreetly and altering routes. All these factors complicate operations,” Myshak explained.

Additionally, he observed an increase in Russian assault activities in the Pokrovsk direction, further intensifying the conflict.

In related developments, the Ukrainian forces have been conducting a counteroffensive in the Dobropillia and Pokrovsk areas over the past several days. On September 20, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukrainian defenders had regained control of 330 square kilometers of territory in this sector. The Commander-in-Chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, added that Ukrainian troops advanced into the depth of Russian defenses by 3 to 7 kilometers.
