Ukrainian Special Forces Target Russian Radar System in Crimea

On the night of August 28, 2025, Ukrainian special forces destroyed a Russian radar complex, the 91N6E, associated with the S-400 Triumph air defense system in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, reports 24brussels.

The Chief Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (HUR) announced that another Triumph system on the peninsula was effectively “blinded,” dubbing the operation a significant success. They released footage of the attack, emphasizing the strategic value of the strike.

In the early hours of August 28, various reports emerged on the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind,” suggesting drone attacks in Crimea and the “crash of some object” near Sevastopol.

Moreover, HUR confirmed an earlier strike on a Russian missile corvette of the Buyan-M class in the Sea of Azov, a potential carrier of Kalibr missiles. Following this attack, the vessel returned to port, highlighting the ongoing vulnerabilities of Russian naval operations in the region.
