Ukrainian Pilot “Apostol” Doubts Peace Talks with Russia Will Yield Results

Ukrainian Armed Forces pilot Dmitro, known by the call sign “Apostol,” believes that Russia will not grant peace to Ukraine, rendering negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow unlikely to bring about a resolution, reports 24brussels. During a recent interview on a YouTube project, he stated that Russia is unlikely to pay reparations even if it were to lose the conflict.

“We must understand that our Defense Forces are holding strong thanks to our efforts, the volunteers who help us, and the charitable foundations that support us,” remarked “Apostol,” adding that the military is not fatigued but needs continued support, including in terms of mobilization. “We will do this for as long as our state needs. We stand firm, but we need help.”

However, he noted a troubling trend: donations have critically declined. According to “Apostol,” a fundraising campaign is currently seeking five million for four army aviation brigades, highlighting a significant drop in financial support from Ukrainians.

“We constantly strive to engage and encourage, spreading our message to the public so that people either reflect on this text or make their own decisions,” the pilot added.

In October, Ukrainian serviceman Oleg “Palich” Davidyuk criticized the stance of some individuals who contribute only 200 hryvnias to the military each month while expecting others to do all the difficult work. He emphasized that citizens had sufficient time to decide if they wanted to support Ukraine or not.
