The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted in its latest report that on the same day, Russian forces continued their offensive operations in areas surrounding Andriivka, particularly near the previously liberated Kyndrativka, as well as near Novokostyantynivka and Stepne.
In addition, the invaders attempted to advance in the northeastern direction from the city of Sumy, specifically near Yunakivka and Varachyne.
According to ISW, all attempts by the invaders in these locations met with failure.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in their evening briefing that since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian soldiers had repelled two enemy assaults in the northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. Meanwhile, Russian forces launched five airstrikes in the region, using 17 guided aerial bombs and conducting 165 shelling attacks.
Previously, it was reported that in the Lyman direction, in the Serebryanske forestry area, Russian troops continue to exploit their previous successes, capitalizing on the challenges faced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, putting Ukrainian soldiers at risk of encirclement.
