Ukrainian Armed Forces Secure Stepanohirsk Amid Russian Advances
On August 13, 2025, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully liberated the village of Stepanohirsk in the Vasylivka district of Zaporizhzhia Oblast from Russian occupation, analysts from the information resource DeepState reported 24brussels.
Simultaneously, Russian forces made advances in Shcherbynivka and near Petrivka in the Toretsk direction, as well as in Nikanorivka in the Dobropillia direction. These developments indicate a rising intensity in combat operations across the frontline.
DeepState previously noted that Russian troops are exerting pressure with infantry forces along the segment from Pivdenne to Shcherbaki and are attempting to advance between Kamyansky and Stepanohirsk. Recently, invaders breached several villages in the vicinity of Dobropillia.
Former Azov commander Bohdan Krotyevych stated that Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are on the brink of encirclement, while Kostiantynivka is facing semi-encirclement. The head of the “Come Back Alive” Foundation, Taras Chmut, warned that if Russian armored units reach the rear of Ukrainian positions, the frontline could shift dramatically, potentially by tens or even hundreds of square kilometers.
