Ukrainian Forces Achieve Significant Gains as Russian Army Advances in Other Regions

As of August 30, 2025, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have successfully pushed back Russian troops in the Novopavlivka and Kupiansk areas, reclaiming the villages of Myrne in Kharkiv Oblast and Novoselivka in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, reports 24brussels.

According to analysts from the informational resource DeepState, this operation reflects a crucial development in the ongoing conflict. While Ukrainian troops secured these territories, Russian forces advanced in the Pokrovsk direction near Myrolyubivka and the Novopavlivka direction close to the village of Komyshuvakha, situated near the administrative border of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Additionally, Russian military units made territorial gains near Shandryholove and Derylove in the Lyman direction, demonstrating their continued efforts to consolidate control in key areas.

Recently, DeepState reported the capture of two villages in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast by Russian troops. However, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine asserted that Novohryhivka and Zaporizke remain contested, with ongoing combat operations in those regions. Ukrainian forces successfully “cleansed” the village of Zelenyi Hai in the Novopavlivka sector from occupiers, underlining their determination to regain control.
